Maybe I'm a complete hack, but I can't seem to get any node templates to override in drupal 7. I've even stripped the code down to :

WHY CANT I SEE THIS???

and it's still printing all the content. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't really customize my site at all right now.

Hi,

I copied the node.tpl.php to node--blog.tpl.php to override the node template for blog entry and cleared the cache.It is working for me.
I think you may have forgot to clear the Cache so please clear the cache and check.

Just don't forget to clear the Cache. To do this go to Administer » Site configuration » Performance » Clear cached data
