I have a site where I don't want the first item on the menu to be a link. I tried #, and leaving it blank, but it won't allow any of them. Basically, it's the submenus that are important in this case. I really don't want to have some empty page there just to show links to the other 20 pages that ARE important.
Using D7 & Nice Menus for display
Any suggestions?

It's not really what you're asking for (the item is still a link), but it prevents the need to create dummy pages-- checkout the menu_firstchild module.
I tried that one already.
I tried that one already. You're right as it's not quite what I'm looking for, but for now, it'll do the job. We'll see what the client says this weekend.
