Display only assigned content

I have a couple of domains set up and assigned different content to each of them.
For example an article on the frontpage is displayed on all the domains, yet it is assigned to only 1.

Is this normal behavior? Does that mean i have to create a view for every page where a only want to display the content assigned to the current domain?
