Say I start editing a page, and I decide to discard my changes and I click on view.
Then the wrong changes I wanted to discard have been saved and the page is unpublished!
During the edition of a page, and after the first autosave, if a user check the page he cannot see it because it is unpublished.
It's important to keep the original reversion published during the whole editing process until the pages has been submitted. The autosave revisions should never be current revisions unless for some reason the user clicks on a revert link.

scor commentedI switch this issue to critical as I think it's important to fix this issue, or at least to mention it in the project page or in the install documentation.
edmund.kwok commentedFor the development snapshot version, the autosaved revisions are now not the default revision until the node form is submitted. New nodes that are created and autosaved, but not submitted will also remain unpublished.
I'll release a new version later if I have time to get it to work with FCKeditor and TinyMCE.
Thanks for your input, keep 'em coming :)
