Well I have been looking all over for webhost and i found 1and1.com they own there own database and who cant find those 10 page ads in max pc. but i was looking at it and you get alot of space and bandwidth for $9.99 you get 250gb space and 2.5tb of bandwidth DAMN come on who can mess with that. But i have heard alot of bad things about it so i was wondering if anyone one else has found better webhost out there for around this price with these specs. i will want cpanel/whm got to love it but i know it does slow down the server a little bit so what ever you guys find or you host with now come on over and give me some ideas
Thanks

Hi
I would recommend site5 www.site5.com
hth
I have used 1and1.com for
I have used 1and1.com for alittle over 1 year now and within the past 3 months installed Drupal on my 1and1 webhost. just about 3 days ago they turned off all access to my websiteS and told me I needed to reduce the amount of memory cpy usage that my Drupal/index.php uses. My website only has about 300 articles on it, 200 members and only uses about 1/10th of my packages limit with 1and1.com (Linux beginner package).
I am fighting with them right now as to how because they fail to tell you more about their limitations. If you can keep your Drupal site low on CPU and memory usage then 1and1.com is great I suppose. Then again I picked Drupal because its very easy to learn and very powerful at the same time. I didn't pick it to directally learn how to fine tune a CMS to be flexible with my webhost. It should be the other way around especially if its costing you.
Conclusion. Grab 1and1.com if you dont plan to run a big site using Drupal. It will only = Downtime for you and bad phone rep conversations, and never, NEVER ask to speak to an admin direct as you will never get the chance so save your time :)
Just my 2 cents coming from a 1and1.com/Drupal user.
I could go on and on but you probly get the picture im painting by now.
servage, includes free domain and lots of space
I use www.servage.net.
You get 250gb, 2100gb transfer, free domain for a very good price (about $8 I think)
It works great with drupal (they also have autoinstall, but I haven't used it, I like to install it myself)
Use this coupon:
http://www.servage.net/?coupon=getfreespace25gb
and you will get 25gb space more.
Tell me which one you choose, and give some feedback ;)
