This is definitely needed for such a module. I have many vB users, and I want to move them to Drupal.

For that you would be best suited to use Drupaltin http://www.theoverclocked.com/drupaltin

Notice it's still in the development stages so be careful. It will move your users from vBulletin to work in Drupal though. There is no database prefix support in the first version, but the next version will have it for sure.

As also explained on the 'Actions' page in DrupalvB, this is not possible to do, because vBulletin hashes all user passwords with an additional salt.
