It would be useful if the module supported all entities and not just content types, so that you could e.g. add tags to a Product record in Commerce (just one of a thousand uses).

burgs commentedYeah, I'm really keen to use this on field collections and users. Is there any scope for this in the roadmap, and can I help somehow?
matt_paz commentedWould be a nice feature enhancement :)

MGParisi commentedBurgs this project is rather unstable. Sometimes it doesn't add the tags, other features are broken... It needs some love. If you want to request to take over or become a co-maintainer see
There is a document somewhere on how to do this, but first you have to email the maintainer and open an issue requesting co-maintanership. If there is no response then you can request to take over the project in the web master's issue queue, or IRC.
If anyone can find the document on how to do this it would be great help.

burgs commentedThanks MGParisi,
I probably don't have the time to commit to this module long term, and the client that I was going to use this for has scrapped it from the budget. I'm more than happy to help with patches, but might wait for someone on the team to make a start on this one. It seems like quite a lot has to change in the underlying structure to support entities.

marcoka commented+1. I thought about adding community tags to a flag as flags are now fieldable. With entity support that would be possible and a user could create custom lists using a taxonomy field.
jcfiala commentedI may be working on code for us to use this for entities for the http://www.novelry.com/ project. If I do, I'll definitely look to share this back.
MGParisi commentedYou should check the code carefully as there are bugs that cause some terms to not be added.
