I haven't seen many movie sites being showcased, so here's one using Drigg and Drupal 6. It's a movie site for tracking upcoming movies through various stages of development.

Just wondering, are you guys still doing showcases for the homepage? The last one was in April.

Short answer (and late) is not really. I'm waiting on our new "Showcase" content type that would be specific to showcase posts.

We now got a new case study section: http://drupal.org/case-studies and forum posts not going to be promoted to front page anymore. You can publish a case study for your website (follow guidelines here: http://drupal.org/node/1588136) and then re-open this issue with request for it to be promoted to Featured case studies.
