I own a business in Brooklyn, NY and we run a Drupal website. I have built the entire website myself and am looking to make some enhancements to it. Some of the things I want to do are a little more advanced than what I am accustomed to and I am looking for someone to help teach me some new tricks.
To start I need to hire someone for 5 hours to discuss some of the things I have questions on. Mostly stuff involved with different views and panel set ups. I also may have some query optimization and cache questions. This time will also act as a interview for future Drupal work on my website. As our business grows, I have less and less time to spend doing work on the website and will eventually need someone to build future enhancements.
I can pay $30/hour but I will only hire someone who is in the NYC area as I prefer to meet face to face on certain projects.

Are there really developers
Are there really developers in NYC who work for $30 an hour or is this OP just not aware that most of us take more than twice that, if not 3 times....

not very likely-- at least unless they're still in high school and even then it's gonna be tough, lol.
Wow I guess I am totally off
Wow I guess I am totally off base. I can understand $60-90/hour for someone to write code, but $60-90 to do a bunch of CMS work and a bit of templating seems pretty steep to me. Oh well, if anyone wants work at that rate, feel free to contact me, if not I totally understand. Thanks.
surprised
I live at one of the most expensive cities of the world, São Paulo, Brazil.
Here USD$30/hour is good. USD$90 simply doesn't happen...
That's a shame...i really live at a 3rd country :(
