I have a strange issue. When I assign a field of type Text to retreive the data it work but when I try to use the same picture with a term field it does not work. I have no error in the log file.

Does anybody have the same issue ?!? Or is there anybody who have configured those field and it's working ?!?

I'm having the same problem: exif fields will write to text, but not to taxonomy. I tried it on a clean install of drupal 7.7 just in case.
If it helps at all, when I had taxonomy menu module installed, even though exif module did not write any taxonomy fields there were errors from taxonomy menu.

This is strange. I did not reproduce the issue. Can you ZIP your installation (drupal + mysql) so that I can check it.

Having the same issue. Whatever I try, I cannot retrieve metadata into the vocabulary. Tried with 1.1 and 1.x-dev

Apologies. It IS working. However, it wasn't clear in the documentation that you have to add a field for every EXIF term you want to track. I understood you have to add one term_reference field 'metadata' that extracts all terms. Defining your own fields is better I guess, but the docs might be improved ;)
