Is there any way to create nodes that are viewable only to certain users? (or user roles)

I'd like to be able to create some nodes that are viewable by everyone logged in (which is the current situation), some nodes that are viewable only by certain users (or a certain role), and perhaps some nodes that are only viewable by admins (not really necessary, just asking).
