The first indication of trouble is the thumbnail shows up with the "random character" portion of the share URL as the title instead of the YouTube title. That is also what the library entry is listed under. Then the entry cannot be deleted from the Media, it says, for example:

"The file WPQDMMDbnEY was not deleted due to an error."

Subsequent attempts to re-add the video to the gallery fail saying it's already in the library. The only way to get rid of it is to manually delete the entry in the database.

Attempts to uninstall the module so I could try reinstalling it also fail. After clicking Uninstall I'm taken right back to the uninstall menu and it's still there. I also tried manually deleting the module folder, then re-downloading and re-installing the module. No effect, all the above problems are still there.

The first issue is being addressed in #1235852: The file was not deleted due to an error. There is a patch that seems to work well.

What about the entry title in the Media library, what is causing this ramdom files names.

The title was switched from the video ID to the YouTube title in #1368714: Set $file->filename as video title. Since both of these issues have been fixed, marking this one as fixed too.
