Is it possible to access other parts of the feed XML?

It would be great if you could route each element to a CCK field, for example.

What I'm trying to do is bring in a (google) calendar feed, separate its elements in to CCK fields, then use these fields to output a custom calendar View, if that makes sense.

Any ideas?
