Every time I unchecked it, it was checked automatically again after I hit the "Update default display" button.
Does it mean the result is forced to be updated because of broken structures?
Or did I configure it wrong?

The UI is broken, yep.
Here's the patch. This is quite problematic, cause it saves the value in the end, but the next time the user re-saves the form, the good (unchecked sometimes) value is overwritten.
