Even though I've omitted almost all content types, whoever has "subscribe to content types" permission can see all content types.

"Omitted vocabularies" option works, but "omitted content types" doesn't.

I don't think it is a feature :P

Am I wrong somewhere?

Fixed in DRUPAL-5 branch. You'll need to visit admin/settings/subscriptions and resave your omitted content types after this update.
