Recaptcha Unhinged (unrelated to module)

It is just me?

Over the last few weeks, recaptcha has become increasingly irrational. Apparently this is a Google product but Google has provided no sane way to contact them or report an issue. Recaptcha started out as two creatively spelled homonyms but has now evolved into something absurd including upside down challenges. The majority of challenges are unsolvable. On average, about twenty refreshes are required to get something that is readable and unambiguous. Are spam-bots really that clever?
