As with any module, you can always find any submitted code in the CVS repository. You should, however, be aware that if no release has been made (as in this case), the developer(s) might have a good reason for not seeing the module fit for release.

If you choose download the SPAW module you should not expect any support in getting it to work at your setup. Be warned, you would probably have to do several code changes in both the module and SPAW itself to get a satisfactory result. My recommendation is that you check out MOXIE for a working, somewhat similar, rich-text editor solution.
