Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't see any option to map a particular field to a specific group. It seems like the only option is to import every user into the same groups.

Would it be possible to map a field from the CSV that determines the user's group membership?

We cannot map a csv field to a organic group.

ended up going over to feeds and using this patch http://drupal.org/node/857424 to do this - ingested 40,000 users into 500 groups last night
