Is there a yellow pages type directory for Drupal?

Where site visitors pay an annual fee if they want their details listed. And just before the year is up they are sent a reminder, if they don't take out another years of advertising their entry is downgraded or removed.

Ideally, I'd like a system where there would be two kinds of entries, free entries and paid-for entries (which would always show higher than the free ones). Also, they would be shown randomly (as opposed to alphabetically or by latest added).

Is this possible with Drupal at all?

You probably should look at the LMPaypal module, which does more or less what you're looking for. You could probably also lash something together with Ecommerce and a little work, but LMPaypal is pretty close to what you want. Actually I'm doing something pretty similar on a web site I'm working on right now. I've used the CCK to build the listings, LM Paypal to get the paid listings paid for, and views to format them.
