In 6.x, message templates could be easily edited through the web interface. But looking at the messaging_template module in 7.x, it looks like there are no menu callbacks- how then are you supposed to template messages? Do you need to write custom tpl.php files? It seems that the default templates don't really work- for instance, HTML emails are missing node bodies...
