Issue Summary
Hi guys,
Was happy to find this module - exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately it doesn't work for us, hopefully only yet, as we use Content Profile module. There is also LoginToboggan, but can't tell if it has any compatibility problem with NotBot.
On the /user/register everything is how it should be - long form with additional fields. On the /notbot page only 4 standard (no Content Profile) fields.
Hope you will be able to make it work with Content Profile.
Thank you,
Gennady

Hi gennadiy,
I just read your post today - not sure why I was not notified of it by email - but I will have a look at it.
I may have more questions - so let me know if you are still interested.

Hi Dio,
Sorry for not replying right away - was busy with the other stuff. Still want to cut spammers at /user/register.
To see for yourself you may just install Content Profile module (http://drupal.org/project/content_profile, 39431 sites currently report using this module). Please let me know if you need my help.
What I was looking it's to change /user/register path to custom one, so /user/register will give you the 404 page. Something like in this post but the working solution: http://groups.drupal.org/node/20925#comment-89077
And NotBot provides this functionality. Only need it to work with Content Profile.
Thank you and Regards,
Gennady

Hi Gennadiy,
Updated
I think I see the problem now - you have selected the "Use on registration" for a profile (/admin/content/node-type/profile/) that has been created and that form does not appear on the Notbot page but does appear on the user/register page.
I think there is a simple solution to this, but I need to read a bit about D6 hook processing.
Content Profile looks like a pretty cool module, now that I sense what is does. Will update Notbot shortly so it 's compatible. Any suggested tips or pointers would be appreciated.

Branch 6.x-1.x of NotBot now supports the current editions of the Logintoboggan and Content Profile modules.

Hi Dio,
Will try your new NotBot when I have some spare time and will let you know if everything worked well in my configuration.
Thank you and Best Regards,
Gennady

I did some more work (and testing) on this module. The LoginToboggan was not registering immediately with all different options set and I discovered a number of links that need to be modified when I switched over to the Garland theme. This has been fixed now.
I use 2 different browsers to test this (one is logged in, the other anonymous). In the anonymous browser, I open two tab windows - the first on /user/register, the second on the notbot registration page. Both pages should look and behave exactly the same with the Content Profiles and LoginTobboggan modules enabled - the only difference being the notbot page should register the visitor immediately.
Success with this

Just wondering when this mod will be complete. Thx :)

Good timing. I'll push the Drupal 6 version to the drupal git repository today. The backport from D7 to D6 was a little more challenging than I expected, but the D6 version has now leapfrogged D7/D8.
@TODO - upgrade D7/D8.

OK - just pushed up a new version for D7 that is similar to to one just completed for D6. Both versions should work with the current Profiles and LoginToboggan modules.
If you have any questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to ask.

New releases for D6 and D7 in the Git repository. Fully configurable now. Dedicated members page with links that point to the Members page. Tested with 10 different themes (still problems with Fusion and Acquia Marina in D7 config).
Full install and uninstall - should not affect any other Drupal module and should work with most of them.
Two Login blocks can appear on the Members page after install but this is easily corrected and actually indicates the module is working correctly.
