It's rough and dirty but it works for me. :-)

Thanks for the patch!

I'll be sure to test it out as time permits, but in the meantime community feedback is welcome.

Tried this to see if it would fix my issue but not sure if they're the same thing. I've used this with profile_taxonomy to add multiple tags to a profile. The UI works and data saves in the profile_value field, but when I try to build a view with one of those terms as an argument, no results return. The query is looking for an exact match on 'Admissions' rather than "like '%Admissions%' " (or something to that effect)

If that's what this should fix then sadly, it didn't... (I have the latest dev branch installed and then patched with this)

If that's not what it's supposed to do - are there other fixes I can try?

Thanks- really hoping to get this working as it's just what I need for listing users on a school site in various areas (some are in admissions and administration, some teach and coach, etc)

Awesome, this worked and fixd my issue !!!!! I will come back if I notice any problems. This basically helps to unserilize the array data in the table that the checkbox module puts in for multi select.

It would be cool to get profile checkboxes working with Views Bulk Operations, I can't seem to get it to work.

I tested with by creating a filter in views for a normal checkbox field and it's working! Thank you!

+1 First off, thanks for the module and patch which I am using. The Filters seem to work fine but I am also trying to use arguments in some of the views. I have 4 categories for the users to select one or more choices of affiliation, and I would like to display the url like so [ site/experts/% ] where the argument would be one of the category values, and thus display a list of the 'expert' users within each category for the various pages with the 4 argument values. When I configure this and use the wildcard 'All', the page displays all of the expert users, however using an argument of the category value displays empty. Am I doing something incorrectly, or is there a fix for this? If not I would be interested in helping code up a fix - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I haven't coded something for views arguments in a module before. Thanks! Hope we can get this working soon!

Hi Bacteria Man,

I believe your 6.x-2.1 realease does not include the profile_checkboxes_handler_filter_selection handler as per skylord patch in profile_checkboxes.views.inc

@PanchoJ,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

You're right. The external views file included in the patch was added, but the updates to profile_checkboxes.views.inc didn't get patched correctly. The new 6.x-2.2 release rectifies this.

Cheers,
John (aka. Bacteria Man)

Hi jpamental,

Did you manage to find a solution? I'm also using the Profile taxanomy module and experiencing the same issue.

mortona2k’s picture

My issue sounds like what jpamental described:

url argument in views should display results if the argument matches one of the terms listed in their profile. Instead, Only single fields match. And I think they're only the non-serialized fields from before I added this module. What am I missing?

(I'm on 6x-2.2)
