Great to see this initiative! Being able to flag any entity is a feature that a lot of people have been looking for (see #1035410: Flag any entity).

What do you think about converting this module into a (pretty large) patch for Flag? Flag has quite a bit of neat functionality already (such as per-user flagging for anonymous users, using Session API), and extending on existing functionality would be really neat.

Perhaps becoming a co-maintainer of the flag module D7 branch would be an option? Flag could definitely need someone. ;)

Hey, there's a thought. I have no idea what mooffie and quicksketch think about more maintainers, but asking can't hurt. :-)

Good spirit and good luck!

Yeah, D7 could use a maintainer, I think. Can't hurt to ask!

Agree with everybody, asking can't hurt but my client don't waiting for me to ask, they want to see feature in action.

My goal when create flag_entity module is: flag any entity and doesn't break any current features of flag.
I had commit some code so you can see.

It isn't hard to convert this module into a patch for Flag and I will consider about it.

Indeed this should be part of flag module since Nodes are Entities. But this will do for time being. Great job, will download and have a look ;)

Version: » 7.x-1.x-dev

#1035410: Flag any entity has now been committed, and a new Flag beta is out that can work with any entity.

In light of this, I think the best thing for users would be to identify any functionality in this module that's still missing from flag, and then mark is as deprecated.

As for co-maintainership, we could always use an extra pair of hands :)
