Yes, definitely. As for when, I do not know. I can also say that it will most likely take a lot of work, due to the fact that og-features utilizes a ton of core and contrib hooks to do it's magic.

I suggest advertising for more maintainers on the project page and also link to THIS issue from there, to invite more people to contribute. Maybe there are more things going on related to Commons and this module that is not visible here? (Ref. #1196422: When to use og_features instead of og_spaces? )

Got some blockers from OG:

#1781218: Calling og_context() in a menu access callback crashes system
#1781386: Context only set on primary node view page, nothing else

Managed to provide some workaround hacks for those OG issues, since there doesn't seem to be a clear fix for the module yet.

7.x-1.x branch started (dev package will be available once it's generated). I'll update the project page with the status of it. Testers welcome -- it's pretty stable but still needs some work.
