Hi,

it seems field_collection and conditional_fields don't work together. There is the possibility to set dependencies through the interface but they don't seem to work...

I have placed this same issue, as mru noted on my thread there, at http://drupal.org/node/1251170

Since it is a compatibility issue noting both threads is probably a good thing. If either module addresses this issue then that other module would become required in the install. I would think this would need to be a new module to leave existing installations without a requirement to install an un-needed module.

I'm not familiar with the D7 branch of conditional fields, but conceptually it seems like the bug is on their end.

The problem was on the Conditional Fields side, so marking as duplicate of #1251170: compatability with field collections.
