if I copy paste text into the editor (after inserting it in notepad first!) it creates rather odd html. I copied a tweet with the # and @ and it then creates a rather odd mailto: reference. besides the mail not working the display shows a link according to the CSS. Sometimes it creates a html color ref. funnily enough it's the colour code from the site. but where does it take it from? Any ideas?

mkesicki commentedCan you paste us some example ie. what you paste and what you get in your CKEditor in source mode view ?
Please also test this in http://ckeditor.com/demo - are the results the same as in your drupal installation ?
