Is there any way to make shoutbox multilingual ? When you browsing the page in english, shoutbox should show english shouts (and every shout added when browsing in english shoud be marked in code as english), when browsing in french for example, you should see only french shouts - and when u add a shout it should be marked as french.

Hmmm is this possible to make 2 shoutbox blocks and set one to display only in specific language ? (yousite.com/en/*).

nope it's not possible. However in Visibility settings - Languages you can set that Shoutbox only appear in specific language. So u can set up shoutbox to work with for example english language but shoutbox won't appear when your user change language for something else.

I need multilingual shoutbox ! After add another language, shoutbox on my site is a total mess :(

I have the same problem. Some of my users write on English some on Deutch. I would like to have 2 version of shoutbox - one for each language. Will this feature be add in near future ?

This is a possibility for a future version but I currently cannot commit to when that will be.

Ok, thx for answer I will wait till shoutbox could use this feature - cause normal version for multilingual site is not so good idea.

Great, but some ETA would be nice... like half a year, a year, 3 months. Not a specific release date but something we might consider when planing to use this great module.

No it's not possibile and that is the one of the biggest issue.

Ahh you can display it twice, but you can't display 2 separate shoutboxs. Maybe Entity translations will work here?

@batigol you are right. It's not possible to set 2 shoutboxs so only one appear on EN language prefix and the other on other language.

I would love to see that on my site. I guess it would be comments assigned to specific content type (or even a node - shoutbox) with entity module so they are marked with specific language and the quick change between languages is easy and simple.

I guess no. To the time shoutbox will be internationalized I did create special node when all users can write comment and properly display it with help of views. It's working really nice, you can also use forum for that, with i18n 1.5++ its fully support internationalization. But look out for taxonomy translation problem in 1.7.
