The editor shows up correctly. However, no matter what I do (Larger font, color changes, etc) the wysiwyg effects never show up in the preview or comments/stories. What am I missing? drupal 5.1 with the latest tinymce module and tinymce software. If I go back in to edit a previous story that I used tinymce on, it will show up correctly in the editor.

Are you using the Filtered HTML Input format? Try changing that to Full HTML.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue, with the same configuration.
I have changed the input format to Full HTML, to no avail.

Any idea ?

I solved my problem: in /admin/content/types/[my content type]/fields/field_description, I just chose "filtered text" instead of "simple text" (not sure about the English translation since my site is localized in French).
=> the content is displayed as formatted with TinyMCE.

Issue tags: +is Drupal text editor so unfriendly to MWord files?

Hey, people, I’ve tried this and that way and spent around half an hour practicing over Drupal content adding demo and can’t believe that the Drupal CMS text editor is so unfriendly to my MWord made files. How am I supposed to proceed then filling the content for my future to be site made on Drupal? Well, maybe am slow but after having been imported into Drupal CMS text editor by both drag-and-drop and browse all my MWord already made and long-time-ready tables kept getting distorted and completely disintegrated and all the spelling samples show up just like a bold e-mail letter. Can you advise a solution to fix this problem? (Windows XP, MWord 2000, 2002, 2007). Would really appreciate. 10x
