Looks like bloomstreet.net (a german MySpace clone) is a Drupal application. There was quite some buzz in the german press about a social network in development at w/ritemedia GmbH which is associated with Bertelsmann AG. Financial Times Germany wrote , that the launch was planned for December 2006 but was postponed till 2007-03-01.

Have a look at the drupal contribution at the bottom of the imprint :)

At least visually! The site has a really nice '2.0' look and feel. It would be very interesting to know how it all was put together and which modules very used.

Have a look at the html sourcecode. You will recognize some known modules due to included .js and .css files.

I contacted Mr. Henning Maus who is the technical director of the bloomstreet platform and he promised to promote Durpal in a more explicit way. As a matter of fact, just minutes after my mail and his very kind reply, they added a 'powered by drupal' icon to their imprint.

hi guys,

my name is fabian from lieblinx.net. we are the company who developed bloomstreet.net, and are happy to tell you, that after convincing our client write media, we finally did it in a version of drupal 4.7 ;), we modified for high scalability and performance.

the whole system is set up under solaris on clustered sun maschines. it took us almost 6 months to bring it to stage, but we are still quite happy to be able to create such a site within that short periode of time.

now we are bringing the system into the next phase with even more features, thinking of migrating the whole site into drupal 5.1

Great job you guys, 6 months for a project like this is very nice.
Also gives me the assurance that I chose the right platform.

Good Luck !!

looks very bubbley like, and the fact that it's in german makes it all the better :)

indeed its a very nice example for a drupal solution. I like the idea that even Bertelsmann (a big player in Germany) is using drupal.
