One category multiple listings

I would really like to have an option to set up the output to display like this:

Category Title Rating
Movies Superman ***
Mission Imp. ***
Food Tahoe Joes ****
Taco Bell **

Instead of repeating the category for each post. I am not very good with PHP yet but I am really trying to get this to work.
