Unfortunately, currently I have no time for looking into code to port it to Drupal 7. Meanwhile, if someone submits changes as a patch, I will commit sooner.

Apache Solr Search module for Drupal 7 has already implemented custom paths, so no need for Drupal 7 version. Marking this won't fix.
