I posted a patch for node.module in order to have some new permissions on revisions and nodes (a new delete node permission). With that change, a user might create revisions (I'm using revision moderation module for that) whitout having to have a full administer nodes permission. In order to use diff with this new permissions I patched it which I enclose.

however, there's no need to commit this change until your patch hits core (which might or might not happen for 6.x). once your patch is in core, please change the status of this back to "needs review", and we'll fold it into the X.x port in HEAD. ;) (i'm assuming X == 6, but you never know)...
