We haven't yet really gotten into the module yet, but the first issue that we noticed was that there was no permissions on user badges. We are using badges for admin related roles and not for standard users. So a permission to access the modules base functionality would be great.

While this is a trivial task in itself, the downside is that it requires an update script to update the permissions for anonymous and authenticated user roles. Maybe build it into D7 before starting an official port :)

I guess I'm not understanding this issue. If only these admin-related users have badges, the those are the only ones that will show any.

Are you asking for something like "access user badges" so that certain roles can't see them at all?
