So, the navigation block does not need to change too much because the bubbling feature is not really sought after. I simplifed the code, changed menu storage to nested sets, which will let us easily grab children, parents etc, added item grouping support. Aside from item grouping support there are no features just bugfixes and -- I hope -- code clarifications. I believe the mleft/mright calculation is clearer than vancode.

The link to add a "Page" no longer shows up under Create Content (see attached picture), although Story does.

"Create content" shows for anonymous users by default, but if tracker module is enabled the link becomes "Recent posts."

Lots of other menu problems: Site configuration is missing entirely; only "modules" and "themes" show up under "site building"; Logs only has "Top 'access denied' errors", "Top 'page not found' errors", and "Status report"; admin/logs/status and admin/help show as expandable (triangle rather than circle icons).
