When using UC Node Checkout payments usually update the order id field. Works using other payment methods but not when using Ubercart PaymentExpress. Does this payment method bypass some of the normal checks and balances?

If this module currently bypasses "normal" checks and balances, that's a bug. It should behave as you'd expect of payment methods found in core Ubercart.

Please write up a short step-by-step to reproduce including the expected and actual results (read "Issue details -> Description" here).
