I have javascripting enabled... Heck I verified this on the sites I have lightbox viewers running on...

BUT...

The text slide shows I am putting on the site are not functioning as slide shows. You have to use the next/previous buttons.

Is it just me? Is this common? Is there a way to fix it?

You have to use the next/previous buttons.

That is the intended behavior. Nothing is wrong here. Slideshows don’t advance automatically. However, some people uttered the need for that feature. See http://drupal.org/node/125137.
