Okay, I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong here - this seems like it should be really simple but I've spent a long time trying to figure it out and find and answer, and I'm just not getting anywhere!

Users can upload a user picture on my site, which displays on their profile page without any problem. But when they create a node or post a comment, their picture isn't displayed with it. Nor with the teasers on the front page.

I did a site previously where the pictures were shown like this, but I don't seem to be able to re-create it!

Can someone please point me in the direction of what I'm missing here!

Home > Administer > Site building > Themes > Configure > YourThemeName > User pictures in posts

In addition of the above, take a look at:
Home > Administer > Site building > Themes > Configure > Global Settings >
...there you can choose some global settings and some behavior for different node -types
