and am interested in this approach, I am looking at using OpenID SSO Provider/Relying as a solution, but further out, am very interested in the Aegir integration of Account Sync

I don't think it makes sense to ever integrate with OpenID as that's an entirely different solution that could be used independently from account sync (I think you can do attributes with it as well to move over other profile data).

With regards to Aegir integration, that's why I built the module in the first place, so it's very possible (I do it myself on http://wedful.com), but what's the question about it exactly?
