Flat Rate Shipping Method exports label instead of title

When using the variable $order_shipping_method in uc_edi-default.tpl.php, it prints the shipping label instead of the title. This means that if we are wanting to export the method as a code such as GND we must have that also display to the customer. Should it not export the shipping title instead, which is not shown to the customers? The use case here is with flat rate shipping methods.

This may be something easily fixable and I may try to find some time to look into it later, but I wanted to see if this was by design first for some reason.
