I've been looking around (and had thought I had read before) to see if activity streams were going to be searchable in the search/advanced search. I thought I read that each activity post would be a node, so it could be searchable.

This would be a great feature for the site I am building.

Apologies if I have duplicated a post (I couldn't find another one).

It's pretty difficult to participate in this discussion because people have stated opinions for and against the proposed feature, but nobody has stated *why* they believe this feature would be useful/not useful.

So, could folks please provide some more justification for their perspectives here? Thanks!

I can't remember why I thought this would be a good idea (as I posted it more than 2 years ago) and I no longer work with the compnay that I was using commons for - so I'm going to drop out of this discussion.

Marking as "won't fix" but we could certainly re-open discussion here if someone wants to make a case for why this feature would be useful.
