It appears the D7 branch hasn't progressed in months, yet there are no substantial bug reports for it. Is it time to go to beta or RC or a release?

Great work, Colan!

As of this post, there are zero critical bugs in the queue and only 2 majors that are about Drupal 7.

I suggest rapidly heading toward a 7.x-1.0 release. Maybe create a 7.x-1.0-rc1 next week (especially if no new critical bugs are reported).
