Hi everybody,

I just installed the Update Status module to keep my site up to date. It told me that some modules was out of date and the Drupal core was the version 5.0 and not 5.1 (I thought I has the 5.1 core... seems not).
So i decided to update all this stuff... No problems with the modules, but the Drupal core update has been more complicated.

I made some backups of my database and I replaced the old files by the new ones in my directory, then I run the update.php script. Everything worked fine, but when I open my Administer area, I have this little red warning who tells me that "One or more problems were detected with your Drupal installation. Check the status report for more information."

My status report tell me that the Drupal core is out of date, but unbelievably, the first entry in this page say this: DRUPAL: 5.1 !!!!!!

So, where is the problem? What is wrong with my upgrading process?

Thank you all, and sorry about my bad english ^^

I upgraded my CMS from Drupal 4.7.3 to Drupal 5.0, and within a day or so, I saw another update citing some security holes, and I was forced to upgrade to Drupal 5.1. Unlike 4.7.3, the version 5.0 was quite easy. I made backup of the blog and posts, and then erased the Drupal 4.7.3 (in fact, I equivalently moved to another directory: just in case) from root directory, and downloaded Drupal 5.0, and followed the steps: very good documentation, thanks to the Drupal Team. I got these errors, and executed the update.php, and on & off several times. I was very scared that I might lose my blog and posts, but everything looked cool as before in Drupal 4.7.3. When I moved from Drupal 5.0 to 5.1, I did not go for backup. I had more confidence on Drupal because if 4.7.3 to 5.0 was so smooth, then 5.0 to 5.1 should not have a big deal. It just did what I expected: completed upgrading successfully without any hassle. Just follow what the Drupal installer says. This is my experience. It might be different in other's case. Statistically, it should not be a significant deviation.
