How to let anon users post comments without approval

I'd like anyone who visit the site to be able to post comments. I have set permission in Access Control for Anonymous users to be able to 'Post comments" and "Post comments without approval". They can also "Access comments". But when I posted some test comments when I've logged out, my comments still to to the moderation queue. Are there other things I need to set?

each content type has a setting for comments: disallow, read, read/write. try checking it there

I went to administer/content types, but all I can see is the default comment setting which is set to "read/write". Where else should I be looking for this? Anon users can post comments, but they are going into a moderation queue instead of being shown right away.

So they can "read/write" but what I am looking for is after they've written, I want the comments to appear right away, without moderation. Where can I set this?

i tried recreating your settings and i got the same result, anon comments were auto moderated. i'm thinking if this could be a bug...

do you have akismet module

do you have akismet module installed? I have it on my site and it's settings were to moderate all comments and pass through akismet before being posted. I disabled akismet and i was able to post anon comments without moderation.

I've now disabled the akismet module. I will wait and see what happens.
