Issue Summary
This issue serves to track progress porting 6.x-1.1 to Drupal 7.
Open issues:
- support for core tokens and Token module
- move Subscriptions' conditionals support to Mail Editor
- improve support for client modules to customize the edit page
- look into support for fields
- fix broken support for user.module
- investigate the feasibility of an upgrade path from D6

There is an initial -dev snapshot which seems to work with the current -dev snapshot of Subscriptions. There was hardly any work required in Subscriptions to get it to run.
Surprisingly, the user.module keys are not found. If anyone wants to look into that aspect, I'd appreciate feedback in a separate issue!#2
We have ALPHA1 of Mail Editor.
It supports editing the e-mail templates of the core User module using core tokens and optionally the Token module.
Please test this version and provide feedback, both good and bad.

We have ALPHA2 of Mail Editor.
This represents a major overhaul, featuring dynamic text and improved modularization, making it ready for the upcoming Subscriptions ALPHA5.
As special treats, ALPHA2 supports iterating over token arrays as well as multi-line [array:join:?].
Please test this version and provide feedback, both good and bad.

Subscriptions ALPHA5 has just been published, which makes full use of Mail Editor's features.

We have BETA2 of Mail Editor.
It has a number of bug fixes, especially one that fixes #1323452: Mail editor doesnt save templates for PHP 5.2.5+.
