Is there anyone who has managed to create a site with video & audio content? If so, exactly how?

I urgently need to provide means for displaying video content for 2 sites, including directly uploaded clips & hosted, e.g at Youtube and means for handling podcasts & other audio content.

The mediafront module with the OSM player would be ideal, but the documentation does not seem to be up-to-date, at least for Drupal 7, so that if you get stuck & many issues on the project page + in the mediafront.org forum show many folks are - and there does not seem to be active support.

Many issues have been unanswered for quite a while.
It seems some folks have managed to get it to work, though.

The media gallery module would do some of what I need, but it is still buggy & under development.

I had tried to use some player for audio content a while ago, but the problem was that, it could only load one audio file per player instance, so for a couple of audio files, you would need several players on a page!

So my question is: is there any alternative functioning solution for Drupal 7 a couple of months after its release for video & audio? I could not see any comparable in the media modules section for Drupal 7.

Is there anyone who has managed to use the OSM player/mediafront module for Video/Audio as shown here http://mediafront.org/ using Drupal 7 & if so, do you mind sharing how EXACTLY got it work?

[Some people like me in spite of trying to follow the documentation only get the player to appear, with the titles of submitted content, but the content itself + preview do not load as on that page.]

I would be grateful for any help.

Please don't post duplicate threads, I've deleted the dupe. Thanks.

The simple fact is, there is no truly satisfactory answer for d7 yet. As you pointed out, the media module (which was supposed to be the answer for d7) is still buggy-- not to mention ginormous an unwieldy.

Thank you for the update, though it's not good news.

I think sometimes, some posts (urgent support requests, etc), possibly because of time zone & other issues may end up being missed, because I reasoned the persons who may be in position to respond may not be available for a while & come after the item has been pushed too far down to get attention.
I thought another a few days later post would have a better chance of being noticed by someone in position to help, esp. if one desperately needs some feedback of some form.
I was wrong ... ;)

Quite sad about the mediafront/OSM player, because in the comprehensive documentation, including http://www.mediafront.org/documentation/drupalmediafront-osm-cms-integra... (& others on the site) & this relatively recent video tutorial http://www.mediafront.org/dallas-drupal-days-2011-presenting-media, the installation seems to be so easy ...

It suggests something small is missing or has gone wrong, possibly caused by some change in one of the connected modules & if only the developers could just have sometime to take a look ... or at least show some sign of life ...

Unlike in the video tutorial, the video content does not load for some reason.
I suspect it's much more ready than the media module.

Regards

when you want to pop a post back to the top-- you can always just bump it.

I've not used mediafront (i prefer flowplayer)-- but the developer does appear active (last commit was only 1 week ago). did you try posting to the module's issue queue?
