Hello,

Would be great if group members could edit what features are visible to them (only that features that admin or group owner allowed to edit for group members).
For example some user not interested in Documents and Polls, only Blogs and Wikis.

What do you think?

Hmm.. interesting idea. I'm sort of torn here..

On one side, user customization is always great. People enjoy that.

On the other side, if you're inside a group, and you're not the admin, you should sort of be forced to be presented what the group owner wants you to see. Customization is great for things that pertain only to the user. A lot of the OG uses that I've been working with lately deal with businesses, organizations, enterprises, etc, where groups are strictly controlled, and I could see this being a big negative for them.

Perhaps a middle ground would be that when you're selecting which features are turned on/off, there's another checkbox that allows members to make their own choice. But that gets a little messy, cause you have to decide if members can turn on features that the admin turned off, and vica versa. Then dealing with admin changes vs members settings.

Ah, not sure..

I think that group members shouldn't enable features that admin disabled for the group. Users can only enable/disable options that the admin allowed for them. A three state combobox would be great (enabled/disabled/optional). When the group admin select the "optional" item, then members could enable/disable this feature. Whe admin selects "enabled", members forced to this feature, they couldn't disable this feature.
