Not sure if this should be considered an infrastructure issue or docs.

The mailing list page (http://drupal.org/mailing-lists) has bad archive links for a number of the lists. So either the page needs to be edited to remove the links if archive (view and search) access is not desired, or the mailing list archives need to be set up/fixed/what-evered. I did not see appropriate links to replace them with on the maillist archive page: http://lists.drupal.org/archives/

this is actually a custom call to a php file on the file level. killes took care of it
