Looks like notifications are being sent out when someone previews a node. One of my users mentioned being flooded with notifications for the same node but each one with a slightly different teaser.

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem.. can you provide more detail? (type of node, type of subscription, etc)

Ok, I'll do the best I can.

The node type is forum, subscription type is thread

One of my users received 5 notifications of the same thread, each one having slightly different text so we just assumed it was happening on the preview action.

Looks like the user who posted the message may have edited it a few times within just a few minutes. But I am unable to find this information out. If this is the case maybe I should turn this into a feature request to disable notifications for updates or maybe a better solution would be to specify a time-out before a new notification is sent?

Thanks!

Notify on updates in inconsistent now... there was code in place to send emails for updates to comments, but the code was broken.. I fixed it. That probably led to this case.
Node updates however don't currently send email.. this has been requested. Also probably the content of the email should mention it is an update, not a new comment/node.
