When you enable the filter on the Views list (in settings) there is a drop down to filter by tag. This gives you "All tags" or "No tags" but no choice to filter by specific tags.

One minor nit:

Now: "Enter an optional tag for this view; it is used only to help sort views on the administrative page."

Suggested text: "Optionally, enter a comma delimited list of tags for this view to use in filtering and sorting views on the administrative page."
