OR_clause in the biblio_db search function of the biblio module

when I try to giving the biblio search
biblio_db_search('author','xavier','or','author','reinecker','inline'); the 'OR' operator behaves like the AND.

both AND and OR operator behaves like the AND in the where clause.
I mean to say that the OR operator is not working.

I searched the google no solution to it.

if this corrected already please let me know the link of it. or else please take this issue as critical and do the needful
